Hydro Excavation is quicker and safer than hand digging, with much smaller hole size and hence smaller reinstatement costs. Apart from the obvious danger to existing wiring/piping and their ensuing replacement costs, digging can also take place close to trees with only minor peripheral damage to the roots. This is important for the environment and for safety, leaving the tree alive and unbroken. Digging can be done with minimal mess and cleanup. Spoil is stored in the vacuum tank, with no need for wheelbarrows, dumper trucks or grab lorries. The area, including grass, can be cleaned up by the machine after work has been carried out, ensuring good customer relations.
